With a patented design featuring a unique wedge shaped blade, the Kindling Cracker is safe and easy to use. Made from recycled cast iron so it’s long lasting and designed to withstand years of heavy use. It’s a firewood splitter anyone can use, whether young or old, big or small.

The Kindling Cracker is a safe way to split firewood – so safe it can be used by all ages. It removes the need for an axe so you use much less force. The Kindling Cracker is forged in one complete piece using recycled cast iron, so it does not have pieces that will break off.
It’s very easy to use the Kindling Cracker. Put the log or piece of wood into the cast iron ring, give it a gentle tap so it fixes to the blade, remove your hand, and strike the log with the sledge hammer until it splits.
The Kindling Cracker King is nearly twice the size of the Kindling Cracker Original, so you can split taller and wider firewood and logs. Kindling Cracker Original is 16.5cm diameter, so it fits most commercially sold firewood. Kindling Cracker King is 22.5cm diameter so it fits most naturally cut wood.
Thirteen year old Ayla Hutchinson invented the Kindling Crackers as a safer alternative to traditional log splitters after her mother injured her finger.
Invented in New Zealand, Ayla’s Kindling Cracker is now patented all over the world.
The wood-fired oven comes in 6 sizes; 70, 80, 90, 100, 110 and 120. Please see the capacity diagrams below for each size.
The 70 can fit up to 1 x 12" pizzas in at one time, 1 x roast at one time, or 4 x loafs of bread at one time.

The 90 can fit up to 3 x 12" pizzas in at one time, 3 x roasts at one time, or 8 x loafs of bread at one time.

The 100 can fit up to 4 x 12" pizzas in at one time, 5 x roasts at one time, or 10 x loafs of bread at one time.

The 120 can fit up to 6 x 12" pizzas in at one time, 8 x roasts at one time, or 16 x loafs of bread at one time.
